
As promised in my video last week when I talked about Solution Partners and their place in our community, today and next week I’m going to talk more about the rest of 2020. I’ve made the decision that Evolve will be virtual for the remainder of the year – at least in North America and EMEA – I’m still hopeful we can be in person in APAC, but we still have a few hurdles and deadlines to meet for that to happen.
So, what does that mean?
Just as we worked with you to look at COVID as a Response, Recover and Grow process, we are doing the same thing.
Our Response was to work with S-LI to get you the best financial thinking and strategy to you, some tools to help you plan and evaluate, webinars to educate and increased group phone calls to make sure we were all moving forward appropriately. Our team did a great job with the time they had to move our typical meetings from in-place to virtual. We responded in Q2.
Now we’re looking to begin a Recovery phase. What does that mean for us? First of all we’re looking at what puts us in the best place to help you achieve success in your business and life given current circumstances. Right now, that means that we are proceeding with the back half of the year as virtual.
I challenged our team to not look at Q3 and Q4 as “weekly events” they plan and deliver, but instead, asked them to broaden their vision and think through how to we deliver the best program to help you achieve success in your business and life virtually – not limited by simply having weekly events. The next couple of weeks I’m going to be talking about the things we have in store for the rest of the year, such as additional content from Service Leadership and content with an increased focus on planning (because planning is more important now than ever!) Our goal is to help equip you to have your best yearly business plan in place in Q4 so you and your team can hit the ground running in 2021. One of the big advantages of virtual is we can have experiences that allow you to have different people easily attend. With that opportunity, we’re planning SEPG/Owner workshops to more tightly align your thinking and planning at the highest level of your companies. Finally, we're working with Solution Partners to bring you content, wisdom and insight that you typically don’t see.
We have some pretty exciting things coming that are going to equip you to be better leaders, run stronger companies and help you grow yourself and your leadership teams. Stay tuned as we’ll be getting the details out on these things over the next few weeks.
