What Constitutes a Hands That Give Emergency?

    

Crises occur all too frequently.  Fortunately, relatively few are of the scope and severity that would require implementation of the Hands That Give Emergency Response Plan.  Rather, the plan will most likely be activated if:
  • The emergency cannot be effectively managed using only personnel or local company resources
  • The emergency directly impacts mission-critical end customers who can definitely be helped by outside assistance
  • There is a personal crisis that may be more discretely handled by outsiders
  • The individual would be better served by peers whose only interest is protecting the family and company
 
However, anytime a member feels doubt as to whether a difficult situation qualifies for Hand That Give assistance, we strongly urge that he or she contact us.

 

Requesting Assistance 

 

When a situation arises that the member feels could potentially imperil his business operation, procedures are as follows:
Using the Declaration Form found online, a request for assistance is submitted to Hands That Give Oversight Committee
Unaffected members will be dispatched to provide assistance (labor donated by members and their companies)
Funds will be provided to cover direct expenses to assist in response to the crisis
Covered Expenses

 

  • Any IT Nation Evolve member may request disaster or crisis assistance at any time. Once the member is deemed qualified for aid, decisions will be made regarding disbursement of available funds and resources. Monetary assistance will cover such expenses as:
  • Travel, lodging, food
  • Emergency supplies
  • Emergency equipment (i.e., generators, technology, other tools)
  • Responses will vary depending on circumstances and resources availability. The Oversight Committee will work closely with volunteers at the emergency site to assure proper documentation of all expenses with accounting in accordance with generally accepted practices.
