  • New Year, New Opportunities

On behalf of the IT Nation Evolve Team and everyone else at ConnectWise, we want to wish you a very Happy New Year!  We made it! 2021 is in the books and we are excited to continue driving forward in 2022.

We had quite a journey last year that was all across the board – some of you sold your businesses, made financial gains or mergers & acquisitions, while some of you had some loss and faced other adversities. No matter where you were in 2021, it’s in the rear-view mirror.  We should all be looking ahead to the promise and excitement of 2022 - new beginnings are always an opportunity to reset things, so let’s take advantage of that.

Hopefully, you all had good conversations in Q4 about where you are headed for the next year.  This means you have a solid Business Plan in place for this year and you’ve discussed the roadmap with your leadership teams at length.  Everyone is onboard and they all know where the ship is heading.  If not, that should priority number as your Business Plan is foundational for what comes next – your Leadership Plan.

We are coming up quickly on our Q1 meetings in all three geos and your focus should be shifting to your Leadership Plan.  This plan is crucial to successfully executing your Business Plan for a couple reasons:

    1. Your Leadership Plans details what you need to execute on AND what’s expected of your team to help them develop into better leaders. Setting clear expectations and goals at the outset is key for both you and those you lead.
    2. Your Leadership Plan can help you with retention. Healthy communication, clear expectations, metrics for success – these things foster trust, personal growth, and respect in your teams. In short, you will have a huge advantage in the Talent War we are all experiencing now if you have a healthy program for leadership development in your company.

So here are your marching orders - spend some time on your Leadership Plan prior to your Q1 Meeting.  Plan to bring a clear plan into the room at Q1.  If you do that, we can start to hold you accountable to some of the linchpins that are going to help you execute your plans for the year.

Last item to mention is that we have started to post registration links for all our 2022 Webinars on the HUB, including all our “Industry Patterns & Trends Webinars” and our quarterly “S-LI Update” webinars.  Be sure to visit the “Upcoming Webinars” page and get those on your calendars by registering for them today.

Once again, Happy New Year to you all!  We’re really excited about what 2022 brings and equally excited to chat with you all in Q1!  Until then, stay healthy and lead strong!
